Tools to prevent gender violence and discrimination in a Higher Education Institution in Ecuador

The aim of the study was to diagnose the incidence of gender violence and discrimination at the Rumiñahui University Institute, the scope of this was descriptive. Phenomenology as a method with qualitative analysis oriented to the interpretation of the emerging reality from mixed analysis techniques. It resulted from the research the development of tools for the attention of the phenomena studied. The research resulted from the development of tools for the prevention, care and eradication of the phenomena studied. It was concluded that these problems are present as a reflection of society, the problem detected was the lack of institutional mechanisms for their complaint and attention, so it was put to the consideration of the Superior Collegiate Body (OCS) a protocol for addressing the phenomenon of genderbased violence and discrimination; together with a training program with a focus on equality and non-discrimination for teachers, administrative staff and authorities; and a proposal to modify the contents for the Administration career in human talent management with a focus on equality and non-discrimination to strengthen the institutional capacities and the graduation profile of students.
