The institute, framed in the educational processes and attending the continuous improvement of the institution's guidelines, considered pertinent an integrative approach in the management and execution of the projects of linkage with society; considering this, the methodological design for the detection of needs for the elaboration of social intervention programs is executed, for which the institutional linkage commission elaborates and applies the techniques for collecting information. In summary, the detection of needs for the elaboration of social intervention programs involves the collection of primary and secondary data, as well as the analysis of the information gathered. It is important to involve the community in this process and to consider the severity and impact of the problems, the vulnerability of certain groups, the viability and feasibility of the interventions, the effectiveness of the proposed strategies, long-term sustainability and the available empirical evidence.
