We are pleased to present the publication of a new special issue of the journal Conectividad, developed in collaboration with the Universidad Iberoamericana del Ecuador. This edition highlights the joint work of the students of the Master's Degree in Nursing with a major in Critical Care and the professors of this prestigious university, who have contributed with innovative and relevant research in the field of health and critical care.
The special issue includes a selection of articles that address key topics such as:

• Innovations in nursing practices for highly complex environments.
• Challenges and perspectives in the training and leadership of critical care professionals.
