Risk factors associated with intergenerational violence in Ecuador

Abstract

Intergenerational violence in Ecuador is a social and family phenomenon that poses significant challenges healthy society. The theory of intergenerational violence aims to study and understand the violent behavior that can be transmitted from one generation to another. The objective of this theory is nothing more than to analyze the causes of the transition of violence, allowing for the provision of preventive care and timely intervention. The objective of this research is to determine the risk factors associated with intergenerational violence in Ecuador. The research is based on a qualitative, documentary-type approach, with a descriptive exploratory review with a systematic review design based on the PRISMA 2020 method with national and international databases from the last five years. The results of this research are Provide knowledge to society of these risk factors that exist on intergenerational violence, offer strategies for change based on intergenerational theory. In conclusion, this research offers society scientific knowledge based on the theory which allows establishing changes in the cases of violence currently seen in Ecuador.
