This article analyzes the relationship between User Experience (UX) in editorial management systems and the acceptance of scientific articles authored by Ecuadorian university faculty. A non-experimental correlational design was adopted, using primary data collected through an eight-item Likert-scale survey administered to lecturers who mainly use Open Journal Systems (OJS) to submit and manage their manuscripts. The independent variable corresponds to perceived UX in the platform (ease of use, interface clarity, and overall satisfaction), while the dependent variable focuses on perceived academic productivity and article acceptance rates. The findings indicate a positive association between a favorable UX and higher perceived ease in meeting editorial requirements, fewer errors during submission, and greater willingness to submit new manuscripts, which is linked to improved publication outcomes. These results are consistent with the literature on usability and scientific productivity in Ecuador and reinforce the relevance of models such as TAM and UTAUT for explaining the adoption of digital editorial systems in higher education. The study concludes that optimizing UX in platforms such as OJS is a key strategy to enhance scientific productivity and the visibility of Ecuadorian university faculty
