Abstract

The 2020 was one of the years where the most abrupt transformations in recent decades occurred, as a result of the pandemic. That is why digital entrepreneurs accelerated business ideas to promote and market goods and services using online channels, which generate  considerable economic commissions and do not require major investments. From this perspective arises the need to encourage the use of affiliate marketing E-Commerce platforms to sell digital products (videos, e-books, podcasts), downloadable or consumable online using a mobile device, computer or tablet. The objective of this study is to determine if digital platforms are generating profits for entrepreneurs (the host-the creator of digital content and the seller or marketers) and to verify if this business model is a viable post-pandemic alternative. Affiliate Marketing in Ecuador is in an incipient process, however, there is evidence of a favorable rebound towards growth and the consolidation of these new ways of marketing. It is expected to check with the documentary and bibliographic analysis the feasibility for all those involved in the affiliate marketing transaction process: In which the consumer gains time and knowledge, can also access and evaluate the different products hosted on the platform and buy the that best suits your needs and interests. In the same way, the host, the producer and the seller obtain experiences and commissions, which translate into economic income.
