Ethics of the Journal, editorial process, and publication 

The Conectividad Journal Code of Ethics seeks to guide the continuous improvement of the journal and its editorial process, as well as to guide the actions of its stakeholders: authors, reviewers, and editors.

About the Authors:

• Originality and accuracy of data: The authors of papers submitted to Conectividad Journal declare that the work is original and unpublished, that it has not been presented in another scientific journal or academic or non-academic publication, and that it does not contain parts of other works and/or those of other authors previously published. Furthermore, they confirm the accuracy of the data, which has not been altered or fabricated to fulfill the purpose of the research.
• Multiple and/or repetitive publications: The author must not publish articles that repeat the same results in more than one scientific journal or academic or non-academic publication. This practice will be considered ethically incorrect.
• Attributions, citations, and references: The author must always indicate the sources and contributions on which their article is based.
• Authorship: Authors must include all participants in the planning, development, and collection of research results, as well as in the writing of the scientific article.
• Errors and Retractions in Published Articles: When an author identifies a significant error or inaccuracy in their article, they must immediately inform the journal's editors and provide them with all the necessary information to make the appropriate corrections.
• Access and Retention: Authors of articles must make the sources/data on which the research is based available, if requested by the Editorial Board. This information may be retained for a reasonable period of time after publication, allowing public access.
• Conflict of Interest and Disclosure: Authors are required to explicitly declare that there are no conflicts of interest that may have influenced the results obtained. Authors must indicate any funding from public or private entities, NGOs, and/or projects from which the research article is derived.
• Responsibility: The authors are directly responsible for the content of the published articles, having reviewed the updated scientific literature relevant to the topic under review.

Reviewers:

• Participation in the editorial process: The reviewers are blind peers, and their participation in the editorial process is intended to assist the editors in making decisions regarding proposed articles and to improve the quality of articles submitted by the authors for publication. Reviewers will conduct a critical, honest, constructive, and unbiased review of the scientific and literary quality of the article, based on their area of ​​knowledge and skills.
• Compliance with review deadlines: Reviewers undertake to evaluate the papers in the shortest possible time, respecting the deadlines established by the Editor of the Conectividad Journal in order to comply with the editorial process out of respect for the authors and their work. The reviewer may reject the assigned evaluation if they do not feel competent in the subject matter to be reviewed or are unable to complete the evaluation within the scheduled time. For this reason, you must immediately notify the editors.
• Confidentiality: Texts must not be discussed or distributed to other people and/or institutions without the express consent of the editors; each manuscript is confidential.
• Objectivity: Peer review must be conducted objectively, always using the Scientific Article Review Form. Reviewers must submit this form fully completed with justifications, providing sufficient technical reasons for each of their assessments, especially if the work is proposed for rejection.
• Text Review: Reviewers are required to inform the editors if the manuscripts are similar or overlap with other works, have been published, or are under review for another publication.
• Quality of bibliographic/reference review: Reviewers undertake to accurately suggest bibliographic references for key works possibly forgotten by the author in their work.
• Anonymity (Peer-Blind): To ensure the review process is as objective, impartial, and transparent as possible, the authors' identities are removed before submission of papers for peer review. If the authors' identities, institutional affiliations, or any other information compromises the anonymity of the document, the reviewer must immediately notify the editors.

From the Editors:

• Publication Decision: The editors will ensure the selection of the most qualified reviewers to provide a critical and expert assessment of the work, with the least possible bias. Conectividad Journal selects at least two reviewers for each work to ensure objectivity in the review process.
• Honesty: The editors evaluate articles submitted for publication based on the scientific merit of the content, without any discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, or political opinion of the authors. Acceptance of articles will focus on a maximum similarity and artificial intelligence writing of 20%.
• Confidentiality: The editors and the Editorial Board are committed to the confidentiality of manuscripts through anonymity and non-disclosure to parties outside the editorial process, thus preserving intellectual integrity.
• Retractions of published articles: In the event of receiving retraction requests, the editors will add the symbol "Scientific Article - Retracted" to the published article in the category. Additionally, the word "Retracted" will be included in the footnote preceding the article title.
• Conflict of interest and disclosure: The editors undertake not to use content from articles submitted for publication in their research without the written consent of the author.
• Respect for timelines: The editors are responsible for adhering to the established deadlines for reviews and publication of accepted papers to ensure compliance with the editorial process. If the authors do not submit corrections to the work within the defined timeframes (30 days maximum), the submission will be archived, and a new editorial process must be initiated.
• Integrity of the published text: The editors will respect the integrity of the work to be published once it has gone through the editorial review and correction process.
