Abstract

The exponential advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining the paradigms of educational management globally. The objective of the research is to identify and characterize the AI tools and platforms that facilitate the digital transformation of educational management in academic institutions, examining their impact on administrative efficiency and pedagogical processes. The methodology used was a systematic literature review (SLR) following the PRISMA model guidelines, based on a population of 103 empirical studies and technical reports, of which 53 publications between 2020 and 2025, indexed in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect, were finally included and analyzed. The results reveal a classification of tools into six functional categories. It was also determined that the automation of administrative tasks allows teachers to save up to 44% of the time spent on planning and management, while personalized learning systems improve academic results by up to 30%. The main conclusion highlights that, AI implementation requires an ethical governance framework that addresses accountability gaps, algorithmic bias, and data privacy, integrating systemic (macro), organizational (meso), and operational (micro) perspectives of the education system.
