Influence of gamification in the motivation of environmental education in the educational system of Ecuador

This research aims to analyze the problem of the lack of implementation of innovative tools in the educational field, traditionalist classes have caused shortcomings in the motivation of students in the educational system of Ecuador. The objective is focused on analyzing the influence of gamification in the motivation of Environmental Education through the programming software “Scratch” that emerges as an innovative tool for the learning process. The methodology had a quantitative approach, so that, it focuses on numerical data with a type of correlational inquiry through the data extracted from the Ministry of Education in the Ineval of the Ser Estudiante 2023-2024 test used as an instrument for the inquiry with a population of 500 discentes of which were obtained as a result of 601 to 700 with 62.6% on low academic performance. Therefore, a scarce knowledge of gamification applications was visualized, which has led to a delay in students' learning. It is concluded that it is necessary in educational institutions to use gamification, since they are game-based techniques that keep students active and develop their skills, seeking continuous participation among peers.
