The hospitalization of a pediatric patient is a situation in which children may have negative experiences such as; separation from their families and caregivers, as well as distancing from their friends and the environment in which they normally develop. In this sense, the difficulty in acquiring new knowledge and skills that hospitalized children present is even greater when these hospital stays are long, because the routines considered as usual are broken and a drastic change occurs in the environment in which that child develops. Hospital classrooms aim to provide educational care to school-aged children who are hospitalized, allowing them to continue with their learning processes, emphasizing the way in which pediatric patients deal with different pathologies. A systematic review with a descriptive scope was carried out; the results yielded a considerable amount of evidence that ensures that hospital classrooms have a positive impact on reducing anxiety levels in pediatric patients.
