Electric mobility is globally on the rise, driven by public and private policies aimed at fostering economic and social development while meeting environmental commitments. This growth is particularly significant in China, the United States, and Europe. This study focuses on analyzing sustainable mobility through electric vehicles based on consumer trends. The research is descriptive and relies on a literature review of scientific articles and official governmental data to analyze parameters related to electric vehicle consumption trends. The analysis of the Ecuadorian market revealed the sale of 966 units between January and September 2024, with an average price exceeding $30,000. There are 111 charging points distributed among 15 provinces, featuring four types of connectors, with the SAE J1772 being the most common. Additionally, tax benefits and exemptions have significantly boosted the growth and adoption of electric vehicles in Ecuador. Advances in battery materials have further improved the range of electric vehicles. In 2024, the Ecuadorian electric vehicle market grew by 54.7% compared to 2022, accounting for 1.22% of total automobile sales in the country. This reflects a growing interest in electric mobility and the adoption of sustainable technologies by Ecuadorian consumers.
