Identification of the risk factors that affect the accident rate of the Rumiñahui Canton

The road safety problem has become a worldwide concern due to the high rate of traffic accidents, ignorance and disrespect for traffic laws and signs by all road actors, making pedestrians vulnerable, who in the vast majority are children, young people and the elderly. The human factor is the main responsible for traffic accidents, therefore the strategies to cover and solve this situation are preventive ones, emphasizing as a priority training in driver education, for empowerment, and to promote safe mobility, the method of applied type research was essential to demonstrate; and for this reason, the Rector of the Ángel Polibio Chávez Private Educational Unit accepted the training.
