Access to capital for technical entrepreneurs in Guayaquil: Financing challenges and strategies for success

Abstract

This study analyzes the financing dynamics and alternatives faced by technology entrepreneurs in Guayaquil. The research focuses on evaluating the obstacles and strategies for facilitating access to funding, especially in the innovation and technology sectors. The main objective is to examine the credit system, highlighting the determining factors and competitive advantages, while proposing mechanisms to improve access to financial resources. The methodology employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data through surveys conducted with 200 entrepreneurs in the technical field to understand their experiences and the associated risks. The results showed that the main structural limitations are collateral requirements, a lack of awareness of credit availability, and restrictions within the current regulatory framework. In conclusion, the study suggests democratizing financial data, consolidating strategic partnerships, and promoting public policies that enhance the success and sustainability of these projects.
