This study analyzes the relationship between the number of study hours and the academic performance of students studying Operations Management in the Industrial Engineering program at UTEQ, applying a simple linear regression model. The research arose from the need to identify factors that influence academic performance, in order to provide tools to improve teaching and learning processes. The methodology consisted of collecting data through surveys conducted with 60 students, recording weekly study time and grades obtained, and subsequently processing them with statistical techniques. The results show a positive correlation between increased study hours and improved academic performance, confirming the relevance of study habits in the university context. The main contribution lies in quantitatively demonstrating this relationship, offering a predictive model that can be used as an input in academic management and in the planning of student support strategies.
