Abstract

A significant challenge was identified in the organization and management of academic tasks by university students in the Graphic Design program at the Technical University of Cotopaxi. This problem manifests itself in the use of traditional methods and the presence of so-called academic procrastination, which hinders performance and generates stress. The main objective of this project was to develop a functional prototype of a mobile application to optimize the management of academic activities for Graphic Design students at the UTC. To this end, problems were identified through surveys, the application's interface and user experience were designed, and a functional prototype was developed. The methodology employed was the Waterfall methodology, a fully structured and sequential approach that allowed for adequate risk management. Low- and high-fidelity wireframes were developed, and the color palette of the final prototype was defined. The brand design, "UniPost," combines university elements with personal organization. In conclusion, the prototype validated the feasibility of the project concept and the students' strong interest in implementing it in their academic lives.
