The research evaluated the management system of the electrical cable testing laboratory in accordance with NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17025:2018, aiming to assess its compliance and propose improvements for accreditation. A methodology based on a checklist of the standard’s requirements was used, complemented by statistical analysis tools such as ANOVA, control charts, and normality tests to validate the reliability of electrical and dimensional cable test results. Findings revealed a 77% compliance rate, identifying deficiencies in equipment, documentation, and record control. Corrective proposals were developed, including new procedures and risk matrices, which would increase compliance to 91%. Implementing these improvements will strengthen the reliability of test results and ensure the laboratory’s accreditation, contributing to the quality and safety of the company’s products.
