Abstract

This paper highlights the importance of promoting responsible nutritional consumption in university students to contribute to favorably face the challenges that currently concern countries and that are constituted as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This qualitative research seeks to know the habits and knowledge about the health and well-being of the student body, and their associated values of the undergraduate students of the Quevedo State Technical University. For this purpose, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied through the Google Forms platform, which was answered and later analyzed. The university population is 5000 students from five careers and five different cycles, selected intentionally, with an average age of 23 years. The research revealed the assessment that students have about food nutrition and the need to contribute to the reduction of diseases and the improvement of nutrition and university welfare that contributes to their academic performance.
