Case Study: ITB Emprende Project of the Bolivarian Higher Technological Institute of Technology

The ITB Emprende project developed within the framework of the agreement between the ITB-U and the SETEJU with its “Impulso Joven” program, which seeks to benefit young people between 18 and 29 years of age who are below the poverty line; and lacking access to material, training and symbolic means, its corporate purpose is to train, advise and accompany young Ecuadorian entrepreneurs, previously selected by SETEJU, in the preparation of a business plan that allows them to access financing granted by Ban Ecuador, a non-profit financial entity of the Ecuadorian state that seeks to promote entrepreneurship and the economic and social development of the Ecuadorian population.
The development of the bonding project as the object of study of this article contemplates a continuous training and advice plan aimed at entrepreneurs, focused on them in two aspects: Introduction and analysis of the business idea and Development of the business plan, this is subdivided in training-workshops and consultancies / accompaniment in the development of each module. This project contributed to the consolidation and implementation of the knowledge related to the different administrative processes and activities necessary for the creation of micro-enterprises, in addition, they developed the professional competencies required by the career such as teamwork, leadership, communication, social intelligence, among others from ITB-U students.
