Abstract

The objective of this research work is to demonstrate the application of augmented reality in the specific study of the planets of our solar system, for which; We participate with the proposal of a technological project related to the study of astronomy, promoted by the She Is Astronaut Foundation, which maintains a strategic alliance with the NASA Space Center, with the purpose of positively impacting the lives of girls in conditions of vulnerability of Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica and the  Dominican Republic. For this project, the Merge Cube software was used, which allows intuitive and friendly learning, without requiring knowledge in Augmented Reality or the use of complex computer tools as a base; Using this software, it was proposed that the student Alexandra Bosa from the tenth year of the Juan XXIII school in the Yantzaza canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe; be trained in augmented reality and its application in the study of planets; so that in this way, this knowledge can be transmitted to the students of the different colleges and schools in the Yantzaza canton, achieving digital literacy in society and promoting the use of new technologies in teaching and learning issues. This project allowed student Alexandra to obtain second place nationally and access the visit to the NASA Space Center in the United States.
